What do you do when you're a nobody candidate running against an incumbent and need to raise campaign funds in a hurry? If you're Sean Tevis, you publish a web comic that parodies XKCD and various Internet memes, and let Slashdot do its thing.

I personally have to say this guy is just effing brilliant. I'd say he's either brilliant or just really lucky, but the comic speaks for itself.

Unleash the fury of the internets Tevis! Unleash it upon the scared old men incumbents who are old!

Tevis' opponent, Siegfried, actually printed out the comic and went to his fellow GOPers and said 'If he's successful and wins in November, this is what you're going to see from every Democrat in Kansas -- and everywhere -- in two years.'

The internets is a scary beast when unchained. You have to be careful lest you unleash the wrath of 'Anonymous.'

So this explains why XKCD has been on fire so much lately, it's competing!

I'd vote for him. His policies are excellent and his webcomic is funny. Why is nobody running for the British government this awesome?
We'll send you a limited edition campaign t-shirt, a coffee mug with the Kansas flag on it, and a DVD video from Sean Tevis' mom telling you how wonderful you are, because you are.
Goddamnit Mr. Tevis, you're making everyone else look bad.
If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. (Revelation 2:5, NIV)
