THIS COULD OR COULD NOT AFFECT THE WORLD SITUATION.
But probably not.

Well, it's time for an election. Since our current govenrment has troops in Iraq and supports Bush, this could lead to (minor) changes int the world situation. I'll try to describe danish politics in detail below The Line.

__________________

Danish politics are very diffrent from American (sorry, I'm just assuming most people know a bit about american politics)

1. While american people have only two parties (this the right word? I'll use it anyway) danish politics currently have 10. These vary on the political spectrum, from right to left.

(I don't think I'm making sense, ask if you don't understand, and I'll confuse you more)

2. Anyone can form a party, they just need the support of at least 6% of the population. Since nearly 1/3 lives in Copenhagen, it's pretty easy.

3. Anyone over 18 can vote. A party gets a number of places in the Folketing dependent on the number of votes they get.

4. The party with most votes choose the prime minister.

5. The government sits for 4 years, but the prime minister can call an election whenever he wants, so elections occur 2-3 years apart.

The two main competitors are:
Venstre: The current government. Has troops in Iraq. Promised 10 mil. kroner to research (1333333,3 euro). Promised to reduce waiting times for hospitals

Socialdemokraterne: The biggest opponent. Promised 2 bil. kroner to research.
Promised to decrease unemployment.

Everyone promises much the same, less pollution, less taxes, you know.

Well, thats it. Just thought I'd tell you.

You made perfect sense. From what I can tell, Danish elections work much the same as British ones, except for needing the support of the populace. I mean, we had the Teddy Bears' party a few years back, headed by Dom Jolly (worth a look as a comedian), who changed his name to Edward Bear for the event. He promised honey sandwiches and picnics in the park for all! And his party hired every bear suit in the country. Pretty impressive.
The end is nigh!

Of course, I'm assuming Danish politics are just as corrupt as every other kind of politics.

I do think Sweden and Denmark will join the Eurozone before the UK does, however.
