This is great news, it really shows progress is being made (though in this case I'd say a double blind trial would be somewhat unethical, so I'm not sure how they're going to do the full scale clinical trial...)

Well, this certainly is interesting. A HIV vaccine? However, at the current state, it can't be administered to more than one person at all. It's progress, but here's hoping it will lead to something that can be more widely used, or that the process can be engineered to work with more people faster.
Still mostly here.

Well I think it is excelent news for the HIV community. It is not suprising how it works since HIV turns off the immune system this turns the imune system back on.

In other medical news, a new treatment for paralysis was tested on animals. Here's the results. Perhaps, somewhere down the road, a similar treatment may appear for people?

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there - a vaccine will always be more expensive than a condom. It won't do anything to inflate these causes - after all, there are plenty more other STIs that a condom will stop that this vaccine won't.

I think that whilst it's not there completely, a large step has been made forward and that's good.
The end is nigh!

But I considered factors such as the mentality Mtv creates.
"Have sex! Sex is Good! Do drugs! This is girl is sexy, thus girls that look like her are the girls you want to have sex with!"

If people get the idea in their head that they can get vaccinated for HIV or AIDS or STDs, they'll get the idea in their heads that they can go around doing whoever they want as much as they want, without worry or care.
STDs and the like are nature's way of saying "don't be a whore," or "don't reproduce so much." By taking away these things, humans are just setting up the world for overpopulation.

I admit, there's people in the world who get AIDS and HIV unfairly. But if people get it from too much sex, then let those people die, and give treatment to those who deserve it.
