I don't get it... ordinarily I'm so apathetic towards this sort of thing...

I guess it's just my tendency to want to help the underdog...

although i will say the fact that kerry cheated in the first debate will sway things. Each candidate is allowed a pencil and CLEAN SHEET OF PAPER. NO PRIOR NOTES! Kerry, the honorable person that he is, slipped a premade set of notes onto his podium! Dishonest... Did i mention i hate polotics?
If you've done things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all.

An update occured for October 6.

For Bush to win, he need only avoid losing his narrow margin in Pennsylvania, as well as keep either Missouri alone or both Colorado and Nevada. For Kerry to win, he absolutely must carry either Michigan or Pennsylvania, probably both.

The most important undecided states are Michingan, Pennsylania, and Ohio. Florida looks to be relatively secure in Bush's hands.
¡Mueran todos los reyes!
Isn't the electoral college based on national opinions in a roundabout way, though? In theory, anyway.

I've said before, and I'll say it again. The only way of having a fair election that's not tempered by tactical voting and gives people outside of the main parties a true representation of their support is to do a preferential voting (list the candidates in order you want them to be president) using a system, such as MAM to figure out who won.

Well, unless Jim Lehrer lied, that didn't happen.

Just goes to show, people on both sides will claim just about anything when they don't have a good argument. And I think this is one year when neither side has a good argument.

For what it's worth, I still don't see the point of an electoral college. Maybe it made sense before politics were this skewed, but nowadays it's just a way of putting state support ahead of individual support.

It's just a huge popularity contest... Proving once again that the rules of the playground still apply...
