Oddities

Postby Shinigetsu » Tue Sep 23, 2008 2:51 pm

Post something odd about you, people you know (personally) or things in your life. Don't forget to rate the comment above you on the unusual scale (out of 10). I'll start.

I get most of my violin practicing done improvising to songs in youtube videos while other pages load.

2/10 for unusual, as any and all talent needs work, no mater who or what.

The most unusual thing about me is that I may have God, Zen, and humor on my side, I have yet to actually DO anything with them...

3/10 because that's a predicament with many people.

for some reason when I'm drawing, i subconsciously make the same expression as whatever I'm drawing.

3/10 because many people make strange expressions when focused, me included.

A friend of mine has a form of lung cancer that will spread and kill him if he STOPS smoking. Smoking is keeping the cancer cells in check and keeping them from spreading, and he has to smoke on an order from his doctor.

7/10 because it reminds me of that movie pi. Also I've never met anyone who has done this enough to give them glasses.

A square meter of my roof collapsed due to about six hours or so worth of raining.

6/10. I get colds in the summer as well, but I don't know about "primarily."

When I walk, I often do useless motions to make sure I'm using both brain hemispheres at once. For example, I may shift my jaw to one side while my other side's leg is off the ground.

I walk somewhat like Ozy (hands behind the back)and i strangely imagine having a tail when i run upstairs so i won't tip over. Last, I always stand up dead straight like a soldier.

Blah, Chris. Blah.
6/10; the tail thing is rather peculiar.

Often when on a chair I will subconsciously sit on one leg.
If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. (Revelation 2:5, NIV)

5/10 It's hard to see that as odd while sitting on a one-legged computer wheelie-chair

I did that for a while too. :-P

Um, Shinigetsu, you need to mention your own oddity.

10/10 Thats very strange Tom. You might want to see a botanist about that.

For a period of time in high school I had a part-time job working for a party clown.
That which does not kill me, cripples me for life.

7/10 due to clowns.

A few years back I twisted an ankle and broke one of my toes, but kept walking for an hour before I noticed.

8/10. I've heard about long-delayed pain, but it's pretty rare.

I have synesthesia. I see plain black letters as being infused with different colors, and I taste the words I speak.
