Always, ALWAYS have a backup plan; log all chats, and if it doesn't log pictures, say something that describes what's in the pictures.

(Apparantly I've been kicked out of a project group that is 20% of my grade because some... person... recieved a picture of a rabbit sticking its tongue out. And added on that I was harassing them though I asked "Are you busy right now" and got "no im chatting with my friends lol")

if your computer wacks out on you and restarts itself and sends you to a restoration (f10) screen feel free to hit the two 5 times with your foot...it'll make it go back to normal. might want to kill the power for 10 sec after the kicking though

Do not encrypt files because you want the names to be shiny and green, particularly if you are about to reformat your hard drive. you will lose all access to your hard-pirated files.

Don't stay up all night reading the most gore-ish comic on the net for 15 hours straight. Especially if it's storming out and you have an overactive imagination and desire to help people.
