I'm best explained on my homepage with my interests in just about anything with paper (writing, drawing, origami, pictures, paper planes) and making stuff (Legos, calculator programs, web pages) I also like comics, nearly anything that is Star Trek, technology...

I'm 24 as of Frbruary 20, a guy from Pasadena Texas, who's been known to spend a lot of time hanging out in this discussion board and a roleplaying chatroom in The Pork called the Dark Pines Chat. I regularly visit those places as well as the Ozy and Millie site, and chat almost nightly on ICQ and Yahoo.

I tend to have problems with people pronouncing my name (it is not pronounced like "Travis" without an "r", but rather like "Davis" with a "T" in place of the "D")

I'm a lefty (I write with a left hand preference). I've been compared with Mr. Spock for not being very visibly emotional about anything (which could be mistaken for a zenlike exterior) and being able to react with little more than a raised eyebrow to the strangest things friends can concoct. I have been able to catch people off-guard around me though such as sneaking a supersoaker into my backpack on a day I was to be grabbed from the dining hall thrown into a fountain, or snapping a camera-shy friend with an empty SLR... that was some serious running I had to do that time.

I'm sure there's more, but I just need to think about it.

in reply to the D4 questions:
Truth is, i never really knew the name of the group, didn't matter to me at the time. They were centered in NewYork, the state, not the city(see other topic titled as such!). Because of this, I really only had contact through one person, one of the programmers. (Oddly enough, he wanted to join the descent team because I had given him D1 and D2 years before!). He would e-mail me, I replied. Occasionally we'd see each other, when fate allowed, but i eventually fell out, and so did the project itself.
I had come up with the storyline for the begining, and they were using a slightly modified version of that. I also helped de-bug one of the mods that was going to be put in 4, but eventually made it's way into 3. The team was sancioned by interplay, i know that, but that was part of the problem.
Does it seem to you, lotharbot, that interplay is missing out on a goldmine? I'm personally not interested in the money, i just want to see the next descent game
Oh, and I saw the origami! hey, that's one of my long lost hobbies! Nice robot, too! I know how the inspiration thing just doesn't turn out as expected, but frankly, i think thats better than the fusion cannon!
If you've done things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all.

Call me Katala, Katti, Kat...or just Marie. What do I have in common with at least some of you? I'm a college student, 21 years old, and I like to hang out online (usually when I should be doing something homework-related.) Oh, and I used to live in Colorado (long long ago) and now reside in Washington state - that seems to be surprisingly common here.

Atypicalities: I'm female, actually not too interested in video games, and there's a car alarm going off under my window right now...actually, I suppose I don't know how typical that is.

A few random facts:
Favorite Ozy and Millie character: Llewellyn (...or Ozy. hi again FoxChild

Who was the programmer you were working for? (The fact that I met my wife on a Descent board should tell you there's a good chance I know the person.)

Part of the problem with it is that Interplay and Volition both have some rights to D4 -- and they don't much like each other any more, so while both may be sitting on a hot title, neither is willing to develop it.

Oh, and you should give the pyro a shot... if you dare

Gee, I thought I'ld be the only one from New Zealand, but we seem to be relatively common here.

Occupation: Final Year genetics student (Yay! I graduate soon)

Screen name: I got my screen name in 4th form, that's the equivalent to a high school freshman, when two guys in my class decided to give everyone dinosaur names, as a Bronwyn I was quickly dubbed Brontesaurus, which got shortened to Bronte which stuck. No one else's dino names were ever heard of again... occaisionally I'm kiwibonsai too.

Random Facts: I'm 5'4" brown hair, hazel eyes, about 150lbs ( I think, I'm not so good with the pound kilo conversion thing) Oh and I speak German too.

Hobbies: Trivia, (anyone else here know what a spermologist's speciality is? and no it's not the obvious) books, music

Favourite Websites: naturally Ozy and Millie, Television Without Pity a site with sarcastic recaps of Network TV shows and now Define Cynical

Family: Youngest of 4, Aunty of 1

That's kinda me
LLEWELLYN: And surely you've noticed that a great deal of what I do is extremely strange.
