Here in Toronto, the price of gas is different depending on what station you go to. It seems that if you are in the outer regions of the city (such as Scarbourough or North York), the price will be around 74 cents per litre. The prices in more central areas such as Forest Hill or Leaside are higher. I live near what they say is the most expesive gas sation in the city, which sells regular gas for 86 cents per litre.
(it still cost ALOT to fill up the 70 litre tank in my Crown Vic, which needs premiunum to run properly)

If it makes anyone feel any better, the price of gas at Nome, Alaska is approaching $3.50 per gallon. It actually was front page of the Nome Nugget.

Of course, little kids catching tomcod also make the front page of the Nome Nugget, so you may consider yourself warned about the importance of any news coming from Nome.

It's also interesting to note that gas prices are usually set by the year in Nome, because the barges only come during the summer . . .

Gasoline prices are high in Alaska because most crude oil is shipped out to be refined. I'm almost afraid to check into the prices across from Prudhoe Bay . . .
