You know, if they made this out to be like "MegaMan 9". and have it be a DLC game for PS3 marketplace, 360 LiveArcade, and Wii VC, I'd be all for this. Classic gameplay down to the graphics, for $10-$15, plus whatever other DLC you buy for it, maybe bringing it to a $20-$25 game for EVERYTHING. Heck, just pull the engine used for Sonic 3 + Sonic & Knuckles and make new levels, or use some of the unreleased ones.

I hope they implement the never-actually-developed Genocide City Zone. The idea was supposed to be that Robotnik tested his weapon on an ACTUAL CITY and like killed everyone. Dark.

I want Tails to get his own game. Tails is like 10 times cooler then Sonic and has more super powers. He can run fast, build airplanes, and fly. All Sonic can do is run. Talk about a one trick pony.
