I made a music.

Postby gforce422 » Wed Mar 04, 2009 1:35 am

This is what I did last weekend. I had just discovered Fruity Loops (which is a music creating software), so I was taking some time to try out the piano roll.

Whaddaya think?
gforce422 is awesome because:
-He made the absolute nicest comments about me in the other topic. I didn't respond to them yet, because I suck, but they are greatly appreciated! =D
-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.
-He joined the IRC sometimes. But not enough, I say! Chat moar =D
-He is evidently only 18 year old but he could easily pass for 25. =D
-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.

Damn that was sexy.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

I've been using Fruity Loops for a while, but I haven't really thought to put anything online. Mostly because I didn't really make anything more than not-too-exiting game mixes. Be forewarned...I may make a clone of you're topic soon.

Very impressive. Did you download a midi for it, and painstakingly make the notescale?

Oh, and here's a couple pointers that may help out a little-
- Use the Sytrus sounds. They sound great, and there's a lot of good ones.
- http://www.findsounds.com/ is very useful if you just need a quick instrument or sound.

Note by note man, note by note. By ear. It took a while, but it was funnn. :D
very impressive.
Aww, thanks tmilk. <3

I didn't download a midi, though I did painstakingly create the notescale. :P I just used the original theme song as my only reference, and went from there. Oh and I'd love to hear your music!

I'll definitely check that out. Thanks man!

I don't entirely know how fruity loops works, but for VSTs and patches and stuff I keep this under my pillow.

There's a couple song's I want to finalize a bit (volume adjustments, mostly ^^;), but I'll get the up asap. And no problem. There was a torrent I was trying to find for you that had a lot of good sounds, but I can't seem to find it. If its on my computer still I'll pm it to you later.

I'm not a fan of "fruity loops".

It seems more like a toy than a serious sequencing package to me.

Excellent work my friend, especially seeing as it was sequenced. I hope to hear more.

Edit: Also thanks for the link Doog, it is relevant to my interests.

When it rains it pours. For some reason, when I don't see or hear something for a looong time, and I finally do again, I hear/see it from somewhere else as well. Weird.

Anyways, that was very impressive. I had fun listening to it! I remember that show from when I was just a little midget! Good job. :3 I hope we hear more from you, maybe even original sound, eh?
