Any writers out there?

I'm sorry to say that I don't have a spell checker. I just create the RTF file (that's the format that I use) on my desktop. But iI've never seen a spellcheker function on it. I'm using the software that's built into xp, if that's any help.

That would be Wordpad, I bet, it's the built-in RTF editor. It also saves/opens .doc files, but not as well as MS Word. I don't think it has a spellchecker.

Yep, that's right, no spellchecker on Wordpad. It's the poor man's Word.
I just got word today that a friend who runs a Thunderbirds fan site and has a fan fiction archive has kindly given permission for me to post my Jake and Richard story there (when the second part, which you have now read) is completed revised. She plans on creating a special MISC section for me to post it in and has loved the first part. Right now she is in the process of changing servers and moving things and I'm waiting on the results from my beta reader. It looks like my writing has a home. I am just so stoked about this!!

Hehe. Last time I needed a home for writing, I made my own. And nobody came. Ah well! My writing will have a home in paying magazines. Eventually. Hopes I.

Heh... get this... my best internet friend just got some great news concerning a fiction story she wrote titled "Immortal Wars"... I personally helped her out, doing some of the lines over the IM...

http://www.pdunited.co.uk/yabbse/index. ... sg22882

Um, I have a few things up at http://lilacdragon.deviantart.com/ that could be called writing. Old pieces, but worth another look, I guess. I have other stuff, but most of it's Pokemon, even if I have more recognition for those, he he.

The two links in the bottom of my sig are usually where I hang out online when I'm not here. Not the journal, though... it needs an update badly.

Lilac, Fiction Press is a good site for original stories or poetry with copyright protection. You can also try its sister site, Fanfiction.com for fan fiction, if that's your thing. Then there's Poetry.com if you have poetry you want to try and get published.

I got some stuff published at poetry.com and even on their audio books.
The end is nigh!

I thought I'd bump this topic to see if there are any new writers among the members, and maybe to prod all us aspiring novelists to take another look at our best storylines.
