If "The Brave Little Toaster" were released today, it would be rated at least PG-13.

I had the misfortune of encountering 'Brave Little Toaster' pornography before knowing that it existed as a film.

I agree. Some parts of that movie where [moderated for foul language] scary.

Perhaps I should count myself fortunate that I was a teen when I first heard about TBLT.

The part with the clown haunts me to this day. And the part at the end, with the magnet, where they were basically MURDERING DOZENS OF CARTOON CHARACTERS, haunted me as a child. Seriously, in today's ridiculously PC world, that scene alone would be enough to get people up in arms.

On the plus side, such a movie nowadays (dang, that makes me feel old whenever I say it) would probably do a lot for reversing the "cartoons are for kiddies" trend. This was one of my favorite movies as a kid, and it did scare me, but I still loved it. For some reason, the scene in a "kids movie" that scared me the most was actually the scene where Augustus Gloop was sucked up the pipe in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (I was okay with the freaky tunnel trip scene as a preschooler!), so maybe I'm just a little screwed up. Actually, I'm starting to wonder if my parents still have our old VHS of The Brave Little Toaster.

That show gave me nightmares...I mean in one episode the family of mice were impaled on sticks by a Shrike...

And this was a kid's show.

CORPORATOCRACY.

In Europe it's about saving the animals and what have you.

The only part of TBLT I remember is the vacuum cleaner running over his own cord and shorting out.

That is all.

I first saw the film when I was 6, and none of that stuff ever bothered me at all. :O

Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

I'd say PG. It's about as scary as Titan A.E..
