Okay, okay, the irony of going off a topic on censorship with this talk of Tum0spoo's avatar notwithstanding, I have a few things to say...

1: Moddex, I don't know what you could have done to warrant being silenced like that, so I am inclined to believe it is a fluke of some sort. If there is still a problem, there are plenty of other IM systems, and some offer more secure communication than AIM, and as for the phone, whoa. Perhaps it's a sign to try VoIP?

2: Tum0spoo, since there hasn't been any formal complaints on the matter, and the talk here has been confined to "I'm disturbed", I think you might be able to remedy this yourself with a simple explanation or a safe edit. I don't want to interfere, but if this escalates into a serious problem, I may have no choice.

Okay, about my avi, chill out people. It's just a picture. It's cute, It's emotionaly powerfull, and I like it. There is nothing significant about it's history . Just look at it, get mixed feelings of awe and aww, and move on.

Okay, for some reason, I'm being badly censored by Yahoo and even my phone service... I was talking with Tum0spoo and all of a sudden, my messages become invisible to him. He sent me his cell and I can't even call that. Something's really wrong here. Worst case of wiretapping ever...
Since Yahoo would have to provide your cell phone service in order for it to be in any way connected, I REALLY doubt this. Re-log onto YIM. And there's a number of servers/routers between endpoints for cell phones, a problem at any one of them is going to affect you.

Sounds like coincidence to me. Unless you live in China maybe.

And as for tum0s' av... there is a difference between a picture and a picture you choose to represent yourself. That is what the word "avatar" means... a representation of yourself (customizable in-game player characters are also sometimes called avatars). Maybe you object that it doesn't represent you, but then again George Bush doesn't represent the US, and he got appointed chief representative somehow. And he's the figurehead the guys across the pond see.

People do die, people do kill themselves and others, but that doesn't mean I can't frown upon or even hate when such things happen. I personally believe killing others, or even yourself, is a horrible twist to selfishness. You believe your life is worth more than another person's. Or in the case of yourself, you give no thought to how your needless death will forever permanently affect the lives of the people around you who love. And then there's the fate of your immortal soul, if you believe in such things...

But those are just my comments on the mentioned topics in general. As for specific ones, I just find your av... well, creepy and disturbing. And I am perfectly entitled to and content with my own opinion, thanks. :)

He said he was on a land line. I meant a telephone outage. Small ones happen, at least in the cable TV business (which I support).

Oh oops, sorry, for some reason I was thinking in cell phones. With a land line it's probably a down or over saturated routing point, and I should know the technical term for them since I took a whole class about it but I forget. :ninja:
