I have to give Nickelodeon credit for trying something new, and also for actually being willing to give Jhonen Vasquez full control over something broadcast on their airwaves. The show itself I thought was pretty good...not the best thing ever, but it definitely had its moments.

Ressurecting an uber-old topic here. Zim's canceled, but we all hope that Adult Swim'll pick up the reruns. And we're all eagerly awaiting the DVD. Also, I don't think Jhonen had full control over the production. I'm fairly limeted in my knowledge of his works (I've only read a few issues of Squee and JTHM), but it's obvious Jhonen wanted Zim to be about 100 times darker than it was. I don't think he'll ever try TV again. He was, from what I understand, unhappy with the censorship on Nickelodeon, and was offered to make a JTHM seires for HBO (where it could be made in it's full evil glory), but turned it down. Anyone else have thought on Zim?

It was a pretty good show, but it's way too overrated in my opinion, while it is definetly noteworthy I really couldn't bother to watch it regularly. Although one episode that comes to my mind is where the boy (I don't know the names at all :\) finds out water is like acid to Zim, so he starts making all these waterballoons, and Zim drains the ocean into one water balloon to get him with it. It was excellent.

I don't like Nickelodeon anymore. They started to suck a long time ago.

after the dissapearance of shows like "Rocko" and "The adventures of Pete and Pete", it went downhill from there.

It was a close call between "I have no idea what you're talking about" and "I have no idea what I'm talking about," but the former won because, well, I don't know what you're talking about.

Wait, this post started in October? How did I miss it?
Still mostly here.

I dislike how nickolodian is taking the younger audiance away from PBS. PBS actuly tries to be educational. Edumacation's is gooder.

Nickolodean just seems like an ugly biproduct of MTV now.
