Everyone disses on Vista, but I've been using is it for some months now and I still have yet to encounter anything horrible about it.

Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,

Vista crashes for me about 25% of the time when I enter sleep mode. As I do this more than 4 times a day, usually it crashes about once a day. It got better after I updated my BIOS, but not much. Some power management issue I can't track down.
Anyway, here's my laptop's desktop:

I've never had Vista crash on me, and I put it in Sleep Mode all the time.
Maybe your comp just SUCKS.

Most likely. I'm guessing some driver is malfunctioning somewhere, but I don't want to send it in to Dell and lose my computer for a few weeks.I've never had Vista crash on me, and I put it in Sleep Mode all the time.

I've got 32 bit mode, yeah. Specs are pretty good though: Intel Core 2 Duo T7700 (2.40GHz) with 4M L2 Cache, and 4 gigs of RAM (even though since it's 32-bit it can't see all 4 gigs). Graphics card is a 256MB NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M but I understand from Wikipedia that this is aimed more towards business application than gaming. It should still be more than enough to run Vista by itself though.Vista 32 bit mode sucks, 64 bit mode is ok. Also you need lots of specs for Vista, especially Aero :O
