I bet the only reason why the roadrunner was officially decreed a guy was because it'd look bad if a male predator was chasing after a female prey in a (however wacky) attempt to maul and eat her.
That and the masculine-sounding beep. But seriously, Looney Tunes were female only when they had to be for the character to make sense. Even cute and petite ones like Tweety were usually male.

One reason I like the Tiny Toons better: nearly equal gender ratio.
Growing up, I had a minor crush on Babs Bunny.

Still do, kinda.
That was what? 1990? I was 14 then, so kinda beyond her.

I've never seen an episode of Tiny Toons in my life.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

I saw tons of Tiny Toons episodes growing up, but I usually preferred Looney Tunes. Simply more classic.

I think innately I considered RR a male, but honestly I never really thought about it until this thread here, heh.

Along with every other WB cartoon from that era.

I wonder how it came to pass that Tiny Toon-themed video games were being made long after the show's last episode aired. At least a decade later, in fact.

Buster Busts Loose for the SNES was awesome.

The football level is one of the greatest things in games ever.
