Well, here's my first drawing that I feel is good enough to share. It's Basil from the Disney movie The Great Mouse Detective. I copied it from a character model sheet I have. No, it's not perfect and I sketched it in about 15 minutes but I'm pretty proud of myself.

Not bad, although I think you resized the picture a little too small; it's difficult to see details.

Yeah, I was having all kinds of computer trouble last night woudn't size right, uploading problems, etc.

Anyway, all should be well now. I hope.

Finished version of pic. Not the best but a good learning experience for me.

I hope to have another drawing up by next weekend. I'm aiming for one a week.

My first attempt at Millie. I took the pose from the cast page and added the yo-yo. I'm not really happy with the result, the coloring in particular, so I'll probably revisit at some point in the near future.

Not bad. That's actually pretty good! Better than my attempts.

Thanks! I'm gonna draw most of the O&M cast in the weeks ahead. Like my drawing of Millie, I'll be using the poses from the cast page and tweaking them a bit.

Thanks! In retrospect, it seems like Millie finally got her tan:

Remember, the part of the face underneath the eyes are white, watch out for that when colouring.

Also, I confess I don't recall that strip you posted at all. It's been a long time since I read the archives.

I only vaguely remember some of those strips where they were hanging by in Ozy's moat. And not the one where they charged admission for it.

Thanks for the advice. I don't know how I missed it. I'll revise it once I finish the rest of the O&M cast.

As for the strip, it's always been one of my favorites. Maybe I'll ask DCS for the original someday or a print if the original has been sold.

Actually, in this strip it looks like they're at the beach. I doubt the moat has room for sailboats. Unless those are toys. Kinda hard to tell now that I think about it.
