it was asked last night what my art would look like if i actually put more than a few minutes into doing it. the answer is...

not a helluva lot better, but at least its kinda neat to look at.

Would you like to:

Ford the River?

Caulk the Wagon?
Killin' the first born of lyrical Yul Brynners.

As I've said, I like the colors!

Also, in spite of it's very sketchy nature, I find it relative to my interests. Looks like a basin in a rift valley. I liek geological landscapes.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

I like the colour in the sky.

You should try spending more time in drawing night seriously.

Besides the rather liberal use of the spray-can on the river, it looks pretty nice.

It was the reflection of the sky on the crests of the waves! And it looked good! Now you made him ruin it.

Well at least you're better than me. :P

Try using reference photos next time, it may help you with perspective and coloring and shapes.

Nice dude! To me it looks like a sinister black fog drifting over a river from a Coyote and Roadrunner cartoon :wag:

Also don't use whatever you're using to draw those black lines. Get something with a little aliasing. And work with a bigger canvas (I think professional artists do :o), you can always zoom out and scale it down later if you want.
