is there a way to save vectors in the gimp? is there a plug-in? I just save stuff in really large resolutions, like this: http://i41.tinypic.com/13yo74x.png

and I'd prefer to stick with it, rather than bother with a separate program. although large in filesize, big images are fine by me

Depending on how large you're planning on making these (anything over ~ 3"), and the method you use (professional printing?), you might consider vectoring them.
This. Or at least see if she has a higher-resolution scan you can convert to a large monochrome (not to be confused with grayscale) image.

I'm pretty sure there isn't; they're two completely different technologies. It'd be like expecting Audacity to be able to save MIDIs.

I believe the GIMP can save vector paths (created with e.g. the pen tool) as SVG. Inkscape is much better for vector graphics though.

I was planning if I could to trace it using my friend's tablet into his version of Illustrator, because I don't have it myself.

and I know about making them with vectors to make sure they're smooth. I've looked into this kind of stuff before :P

Some shit I decided to do at school to lift my spirits up about art. Now I really need to find time to do/finish other stuff OUTSIDE of school.

Holy inflatable Bob Saget on a stick, that is epic. It's like a ram...dragon...lizard thing.

Awesome.

Epic. You should just draw more when you need to feel better about art, that usually does it for me.

Still stuck in dragon phase... this one I find to be much better, at least in craftsmanship. It's a WIP just so you know. He is bleeding blood and, because I can, CRYING IT. The only thing that will be coloured will be the blood. Also, I scanned this as a black and white image and was too lazy to fix it so imagine the black coming from the eyes to be red. lolol

I don't have any critique for you because it's PERFECT.

it looks like a sock puppet because of how you drew from the eye back.
