Pirate Fight Final

Postby Llewthepoet » Wed Oct 31, 2007 10:31 pm

Well, Halloween is almost here, which begs the question,"Who is the best pirate out there?"

The question is "Who do you think should win the treasure chest and Why?" Please explain in your post.

Sparrow and Locke should team up.

Personally I'd say Jack Sparrow. Locke, while funny, isn't exactly the most terrifying of mortals, while Hook just didn't strike me as anything special. I haven't seen Talespin, so no opinion there.

Totally Jack Sparrow. He rocks and reminds me of Tuomas Holopainen.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Hmm, here is my synopsis:

Being all piratey and aggressive, Locke would jump right in and attack whoever he wishes. During Locke's aggressive attacking, Sparrow (being part coward and unwilling to put himself in risk in favor of riches) will sneak around and go directly for the chest. The remaining pirate will most likely do the same or attack Sparrow directly.

If Locke were to first attack Hook, chances are he would win. Now remember this: Hook lost to an army of small children! (That is... from my memory) Hook and his trained and efficient crew couldn't even win against measly little children. With this in mind, Hook lacks any real strategic strength or abilities. Meaning Locke would most likely wipe the floor with him. That is... if he is good with a sword. Other than that Locke seems to be more... versatile with multiple weapons ranging from water balloons, asparagus, and teeth :-P .

I haven't seen tailspin in years so I don't know what would happen.

Lets say that Sparrow does go to the chest, he would most likely meet up with the remaining pirate. If it was Hook, Sparrow would probably try to talk out of it. If anything he is very good with a sword so he could win. Not to mention he is very creative unlike Hook.

My opinion, Hook would most certainly loose given his inability to defeat children. Sparrow has a high chance of winning through his skill and creativity and sheer luck. Locke is crazy, I wouldn't say he'd come on top. I have no idea about the last one.

I reject your realities and substitute my own!

No-one should win any treasure. The chest should be empty.

Karnage should win because he's got the coolest accent.

Cameron is awesome because:
-Because he has an artistic style that is both complex and minimalist. This is profound!
-He once drew me as a roadrunner. It was an actual honest to god feral roadrunner, but a roadrunner nonetheless!
-He lives in Idaho among the wilderness and stuff and I envy him for that. 3:
-He is probably one of the most personable artists on here.
-I think he's the only one of us on here who drew a fanart that made it as a guest strip on O&M. This is an accomplishment!

I vote for the dread pirate Roberts.

Among the four, though, I wouldn't really care as long as it wasn't Hook. I have a particular lack of faith in Hook's piracy skills.

They'll always remember this as the day they ALMOST beat Jack Sparrow.

I think Jack Sparrow would win, mostly due to his seemingly infinite amounts of sheer luck. That, and he's a very talented swordfighter. The end.
gforce422 is awesome because:
-He made the absolute nicest comments about me in the other topic. I didn't respond to them yet, because I suck, but they are greatly appreciated! =D
-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.
-He joined the IRC sometimes. But not enough, I say! Chat moar =D
-He is evidently only 18 year old but he could easily pass for 25. =D
-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.

Locke.

I'm not basing it on who's best with a sword, who can fight well, who's the most pirate-like - I just chose my favourite out of those four.

Captain Don Karnage, because he's got a freaking biplane.

I know who will win! The most unlikely, the most cunning, the most ruthless, skilled, destructive, powerful, and most of all:

She's so cute she melts her enemies!

Depends what's at stake. If its a treasure chest full of cordial cherries, for example, I could take her guilt-free.

I'm pretty much a cold bitch though.
