Pictures From WW3

Postby Rooster » Sat Jul 21, 2007 8:11 pm

Ok, I've been sketching some pics for practice in the style I hope to present my new "project" in. Part of the multi-pronged story takes place in the fictional 2040s-50s war between the USA and it's Allies and the "United Allied Nations", a fictional alliance of nations from Europe and the like.

This first pic is one of the character Pvt. Joe Louise, the machinegunner of the group of American soldiers this part of the story follows.

Image

The story isn't just a "furry" story, humans are involved too, just that the soldiers the story focuses on are part of the first "all-Lupine" regiment of the US army.

Quick note, the backgrounds won't look like that inthe actual peice...but I'm saving up for a graphic tablet so I can sketch and colour them that way.

There'll be more soon :wag:

Ooo...looks interesting. I can't wait to see more of this project of yours...

Cameron is awesome because:
-Because he has an artistic style that is both complex and minimalist. This is profound!
-He once drew me as a roadrunner. It was an actual honest to god feral roadrunner, but a roadrunner nonetheless!
-He lives in Idaho among the wilderness and stuff and I envy him for that. 3:
-He is probably one of the most personable artists on here.
-I think he's the only one of us on here who drew a fanart that made it as a guest strip on O&M. This is an accomplishment!

Yes, interesting. I'm looking forward to it.
Here is fine, there is good, but DC is my home (IRC is my vacation home that I visit more often than a normal person visits a vacation home.)

Sweet.

So, is that background from a pic actually taken in Winnipeg?

I will put my thoughts into a simple equation.

drawing by roo = w00t

:D
gforce422 is awesome because:
-He made the absolute nicest comments about me in the other topic. I didn't respond to them yet, because I suck, but they are greatly appreciated! =D
-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.
-He joined the IRC sometimes. But not enough, I say! Chat moar =D
-He is evidently only 18 year old but he could easily pass for 25. =D
-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.

I am actually getting really excited about this project of yours. Crazy futureworlds with bizarre political alliances always make me happy.

Yes indeed, I am very much looking forward to it. That pic is sweet...the background actually goes very well, the drawing fits in with the background seamlessly.

Fabrique Nationale (SP?) would have developed something 10x more awesome by then :D

But then again, America probably wouldn't use it. We need to take a perfectly good gun and turn it into an American gun (AKA: Screw it up as much as possible)

My dad loves SIG. He goes to SIG forums and he has... at least 5 SIG's... :P

Wow, it's been years since I've fired a gun... aaahhhhhg!
