Yeah, our school blocks geocities too. It gets very annoying when it's where your page is hosted.

Yes, that's quite nice; it succeeds in creating the moody effect I'm sure you were going for.

/me likes!
Excellent job on the shading, you are to be commended.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Not too much. I've always favored gradiants in watercolors. I still need a better paint set, though. I'm still using solid watercolors most of the time, although I've started using far better brushes.

A lot of "my style" is heavily influenced by DCS's style. I don't usually do the fur on the sides of the face like that.

If I could do gradients, mate, I'd be laughing. One of these days I'll try some "wet in wet" cos that looks cool to try.

And good materials are essential. I am still using some 99p brushes (>.<) but I'm finding tube paint a lot better than pan paint. It's very different, especially when mixing. Student grade paint is doing me fine, and I like the Not Surface, about 245gsm. I'm not a big fan of Hot Pressed.

Btw, if you're painting, I'd like a look
