So a serial is a one-bit-at-a-time cable, that's pretty slow but it's gotta be easier than a floppy, just send them all going at night before you go to bed.
But the modem doesn't work so no.

Oh! But I came up with something better!
I send all my info through a parallel port to the laptop and from there install XP on it and connect it with the new computer!
But, does XP need NT or can it work on a DOS based computer?
And if so, can I get it back to the original W95 so I can play the DOS games on it again?
The only way to get it back to the origninal 95 would be to reformat it and wipe your data.

as for 'does XP need NT' NT is an operating system in itself, nothing to do with XP. if you install XP over 95, then it will overwrite 95, and you will probably still keep dos because it is an upgrade.
If you install it clean then you will have no DOS.

Quite why you would actually need to install XP for your purposes though is somewhat beyond me, and you say:

"send all my info through a parallel port to the laptop and from there install XP on it and connect it with the new computer!"

Send the data and THEN install XP on it? Install XP on the laptop you have just sent the data to? Eh?

While XP does not use DOS it has a built in DOS simulator for running DOS games. I've tried it wokrs. Just the clock is messed up so you may need to slow down your game somehow to get it to play properly.

Also: Any other Valintines day submisions?

Mine is going to be like one of those two sided bookmark styled valentines i (never) got in grade school, OK, i exadurate a bit, i did get the pitty valentines in grade school... if those count. Hogh school, though, i did manage to somehow ger some candy grams, some from teachers, others friends... my mother somehow snuck one in freshman year, and then towards the end of my time there i managed to get some anonymos ones... even if they were a joke, i got candy out of them so who cares! but yeah, thats what mine is going to be like. It will have a front and a back segment, with the back having a "To: ___ From: ___" section.

When I saw the DOS emulator...
If Microsort MADE DOS then could it make a decent CLONE of it?
I mean, they've got all the code there for them and all the files etc.
You type DIR and it's completely different, plus it takes more than 8 letter file/foldernames, which makes it harder.
And the font is different, if every computer has the font FIXEDSYS then why don't they stick to it?
Stupid Mircosoft.
Plus in this DOS clone it doesn't simply delete something if you tell it too, it goes and bloody checks it first so if Windows did something like "Corrupt Folder, cannot delete." this DOS clone would do it as well so you're stuck with the bloody folder!!

Gawd.
