*cringe* Oh, uh... sorry, Foxchild. I guess that strip really comes to mind to a lot of people when a Valentine's day fanart contest is brought up.

I might still use it any way, just because of the second half of it!
If you've done things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all.

Aw crap!
I've forgotten all about this!
And my computer is isolated from my new computer!
The LAN doesn't work, XP won't let it connect through the parallel port, the modem doesn't work ether, the externel CD Writer causes it to crash, W95 doesn't support USB and it's got a ton of bugs to wingle at me every step of the way!!
I guess I'll have to devote a whole day to the good old floppy disk.
Crap.
BSP.. ever consider transporting the hard drive to someone who CAN copy it over to some other media? All someone would need is an unusued IDE connection (or the ability to make one by unplugging a CD drive or something like that, and some other media or communications device that is compatible with your new system. If your new system is a desktop, you could probably do it yourself and copy files straight to the new system's drive using your new system and maybe even continue to use the old drive for the rest of its remaining life cycle.

There are also external drive kits you could purchase, but that requires a greater investment. The best thing about that choice is that after you are done with the old hard drive, you could replace it with a new one with more speed or capacity and reuse the kit.

Oh yeah, I forgot to say that the HDD uses OnTrack software and moving it would screw the whole thing up.
And I don't want to spend much money on this, I've heard of this special cord you can connect two floppy drives together with but I have no idea what they're called or how expensive they'd be.
