It's actually interesting to see people so absorbed by this to keep the conversation alive. My own stance has been indifferance mostly. I don't doubt that there have been other people who were way more outlandish and open about gender change. I think some people here feel inclined to comment because Dana was a person that was, in some way, part of their daily lives.
It made it's way into his art, into his news posts on the comic, and into this forum as well led by DCS. His personal livejournal? ok, fine. That's legitimate, but it was simply not needed in those other areas. That post served in no functional manner towards Ozy & Millie. A simple short news entry such as "I've realized something on a personal level that will greatly influence my life. Read here for details [link]" would have been infinitely better! Fact of the matter is, he -made- it a big public ordeal.

I suppose. Different people have different ways of dealing with stuff. Some want to let people know, others are more subdued. I'll just slip back into my observor position on this again.

Haha. Okay.

I feel like I should explain my post. I suppose there is nothing I could really say though. I feel sorry to those that were offended, I really do, but at the same time, I don't regret posting it because, well, I just don't see the point of regretting it.

To be honest, I actually do have nothing against DCS and her transgender lifestyle. I don't really care if she's gotten the operation or not. She does what she wants and really, she isn't causing any harm to anyone at all. Usually at least. It really did piss me off when she, as an artist herself, copied art that someone drew for HER and didn't even have the decency to give the artist any credit. Of course, that doesn't necessarily justify what I said earlier, but as an artist, I feel personally offended at what she did/failed to do.

This. I always acknowledge the source for my artwork, it's just common courtesy.
