Did you think I was making a reference to bonsai kitten or something? I just think it would be funny to put a watermelon in a milk jug and sell it like that.

I was talking about this post, actually:

And then Segovia believing him.

Returning to the prior conversation, most of the people I've encountered in Washington speak pretty much the same as us here in BC. BC has the least prominent Canadian accent of any of the regions in the country.

the japanese grow CATS in boxes.
They learned the technique from the Germans. Specifically Erwin Schrodinger.

not every German (or Austrian) who made some experiments is like Dr. Josef Mengele! He made some experiments on humans. That was terrific, sure, but he found out some things... but please, never again! (for those who DON'T know: he was one of the most cruel Nazi in WW2.

No, of course not. Segovia just hasn't been around long enough to tell the difference in these matters.

Don't worry, sweeping prejudices about Germans have basically vanished from the world by now. Except perhaps in France, but they're prejudiced against anything that isn't them.

Not sure what you're getting at with that image. That was basically the peak of American blind nationalism when everyone still wanted to see dead towelheads in exchange for 9/11. It didn't have to be Germany; it could've been Japan staging the protests/voting against the war, or Australia, or England, Poland even, and it would've provoked the same response from the American public. They wanted blood.

Which is sad, I think. Really, really sad.
