I didn't said, I enjoy fp, I just look at it, didn't you check sometimes some erotic, only to catch the moment? You should know, that I wrote a paper about anthromorph-people (hard to translate it from german) (needed to write for my Phychologic-Kursus). I interviewed many of them (I knew from before), checked their lives and stuff. It's a question of definition, you say people are furry, only when they watch yiff, sometime, but prefer human porn? So blame me. But my definition (and the definition of many I know), is like you said: "I want to be a polar Bear". Nothing more or less. That's why I said:

If I'm getting it right, you're saying that you don't enjoy fp, you just looked at some for the sake of seeing it and for your research paper, I assume. That's fine, then it's just my mistake on that assumption.
Nevertheless, I still don't think it's logical to set the 'furry-line' at wanting to be an anthropomorph. A lot of furries I've talked to like the art, like the yiff, but laugh at the idea of wanting to be one; yet, they identify as furries. Your definition would exclude them as non-furries, though I can't see how someone getting off on the art isn't a furry.
You're not gay, when you sometimes look at gay stuff. Everyone got his own opinion.../quote]
No, you're just curious, I suppose. But I didn't say one look at yiff made you a furry. Repeatedly finding yourself aroused at it? That would imply stronger-than-incidental attraction to it, at which point I would say you're a furry.
It's the same, when you know what pedophiler thinks... when you know, what (most of them) desire, feel or how they act... you're not automaticaly one of them
But you make the assumption that your experience with
some furries defines all of them. It's a safe bet that plenty of furries do, in fact, like the thought of being an anthropomorph.
However, having talked to way too many furries in the magic that is IRC, I can tell you that plenty would be offended by that definition, seeing as they merely enjoy the art. I contend that your definition is too specific and leaves the gaping hole of not including people who like furry art, get off to furry art, but don't want to be an anthropomorph.
