Own vows...

Postby Jedi Ozy » Sat Dec 06, 2008 3:56 pm

Personally, I've always been in favour of married couples making their own vows instead of having the generic speeches by ministers and other such authourities of wedding.

This strip would have been better if it was just two vertical panels with Llewellyn on one, and Ms. Mudd on the other, holding hands, each saying their own particular vows - showing the duality between the random yet poetic and the refined but mundane. Ozy and Millie's diversion of a commentary could have been omitted or left for another strip.
Pretty much.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Finally, at the end of Ozy's life, having hypothetically lived a long and fulfilling one, Llewellyn, who will still be alive due to a dragon's natural longevity, will bend down and whisper in his son's ear "Poisson d'Avril."
What ABOUT the April Fish?

TELL MEEEE.
The phrase is the French equivalent of "April fool."

Clearly, he's talking about Avril's fish.
