It really is interesting to see Felicia in a position such as this.

Middle schoolers are hardly young adults.
Okay, when I called them that, I was going by appearance while forgetting the mention of middle school. Still, by some standards, one is a young adult at 13.

I loved the strip, but couldn't help but notice those big, open picture windows in a goth extablishment seem a little out of place.

Eh, 'teenager' was invented in the 1950's. Before that, you were either 'child' *or* 'adult'.

Much easier than the really broken, strange, weird stuff we have, 'preteen' 'tween' 'teen' 'young adult' etc etc. Messed up.

The Sheep Goth Wannabe goes "Dea'a'a'a'a'a'ath"

Poor Falecia, though.. it seems here she had a random Millie momment... or so, she really kind of somehow reminded me of Millie with the random blurt

How does Millie know about these people? Does Millie have some sort of secret past we know nothing of? Could this be a conspiracy?

She said she did some checking around, which implies that she didn't already know about the coffee shop. It can't be too hard for a modern ten-year-old to find these things if she applies herself.

But yes, I'm sure that Millie has a lot of big secrets we don't know. 8)

Little known fact: The word 'tween' fills me with a roiling dark orb of rage. And not the good kind.
That which does not kill me, cripples me for life.

Yeah... they came up with "teenager" to describe children who tried to act like adults. And then "tween" to describe children who tried to act like children who tried to act like adults. And on it goes, each group getting a more warped, vague imitation of adulthood. Like some weird sociological Telephone Game.
