now, for downloading a set, would i have to do it manually, or is there somewhere i can go that has the set in a packed form?

They're archived on the O&M website. If you check out the Archives page, you can see them grouped by year along with ZIP files for each one on the far right column. Of course, you could do it the way many of us did and download the images one at a time while reading each comic. Having the books would own. I've not recieved mine I ordered yet, but I'm thinking it'd be great just having the books there. You could take them anywhere, and read them anytime. It'd be like..."having" O&M. Plus there's the bonus material.
