Auction

Postby Chris » Fri Oct 09, 2009 11:58 pm

For those who haven't noticed:
October 9, 2009: Auction crunch time!

Eight hours left.
October 3, 2009: Auction time!

I'm auctioning off the original art from the October 11, 2004 strip, "Mental Illness." It's a personal favorite.

Bid on it here!

Frankly, the reason I'm doing this (and will be doing more auctions soon) is that, yes, I'm trying to raise some money. As you may know, in the last couple of years I've racked up some medical expenses that need paying for. And they will be paid for, but the greater the generosity of fans, the less time I'll have to spend working a day job to pay them off.

So if you see a strip you particularly like come up for auction, and you can spare the cash--or, if you feel generous enough to use the tip jar, to the right of the comic on this page--do consider helping a poor artist erase her debt. The sooner that's done, the sooner I and my family can move on to other things like maybe getting a house.
Kinda odd to ask for tips from the "fans" even though Ozy and Millie is pretty much dead. Also, the auction will end in 1 hour.

I like how he doesn't ask for money because of his medical expenses, but asks for money so he can pay off his expenses and no longer have to work a day job. Cause lord knows the charity that most needs money is the "Keep DCS from having to have a job" fund.

Hating DCS is just so great.
Or more accurately, she makes it easier for those people who want to hate.

God forbid such a wonderful, glorious gift to the earth as DCS should have to work a day job like everybody else does. (S)he should be living off the money of the poor, day-job holding fans. Who needs to work when you can mooch off of your fans?

Oh wait, (s)he doesn't have any fans anymore.

That's got to be a blow.

That's still better than one time I tried to give away my art for free but nobody would take it.

I read this on the site and I was stunned that he would have the nerve to ask for such a thing. At least this answers my question as to what she does for a living... Nothing... For having so many "medical" payments (which, if I may ask a stupid question, what may those be? Can't seem to find any on the Wiki article. Although I seem to remember her being bipolar or depressive). Seriously, considering they don't have any children (adopted you sillies :P) there is no reason she can't go out for a job. I'm over thinking this, shes a pretty awful bitch really.

the medical payments are for drugs/surgery/whatever for her transsexualism.

If I had known about this, I would have accepted it at the drop of a hat.
