something meaningful and flowery like that.
Good poetry is never "flowery". It siezes you by the heart, leaving you short of breath and appreciative of the human capacity for beauty and life.

That's not poetry, that's performance art.

This is true. There is simply too much poetry that misses that completely in its attempt to use the fanciest language and the cleverest techniques. I'm not really one for epic poetry, either; I prefer short and powerful.
If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. (Revelation 2:5, NIV)

and yet rather than continue the topic at hand, you write a fake poem. it could have at least been about the evolution of the thread, cross-examined against the futility of life. something meaningful and flowery like that.
What makes a poem fake? I don't normally read poetry unless it's included in something else I'm already reading

the fakeness was that he was actually just rewording a Weird Al song, or at least that's what I got from the four or five posts before mine.

Geez people, It was just a little joke that I thought would have been funny. Why did you all have to make such a big deal about it?

Pointing out the obvious doesn't make you cool. You made a *Sticks account because two other people had. Me and Bacon made it up, which makes us more original and cooler than you.
