An unexpected announcement, but inevitable. It does seem that as of late all my favorite comics are announcing there coming end. Well, all I can say is thank you for the many years you entertained me with Ozy & Millie. I will enjoy it while it lasts, and hopefully I'll be able to enjoy any future projects you undertake as well.

Regards,

Baree

BTW, not to go off-topic, but after the daily strips are done, what will happen to this forum?

is it just me, or do I smell a bad pun?

Sheesh, and I just came in from reading an "Mmm, bacon"-themed thread elsewhere.

Sunset doesn't last all evening
A mind can blow those clouds away
After all this, my love is up and must be leaving
It's not always going to be this grey

All things must pass
All things must pass away

stuff like that makes me think that he should of been dubbed "the dark poet" instead of john lennon

My personal opinion is that the focus went to strongly to the personal view of Ozy and Millie on all things during the last years. I think the strip lost some of its appeal when Avery, Timulty and Stephan got less and less "airtime".
Yes, I've missed Stepan in particular, he just fell off the edge of the world. I liked it when there was frequently a lot more to Ozy and Millie than the title characters themselves.
D. C. Simpson seems to no longer have that total connection to Ozy, Millie and the gang like he used to. Looking at the older strips, you were like "OH YES, that's just so typically Ozy, [Millie], [Avery], ...!". Today you start to see his daily struggle to come up with a good pun or remark.

That's also true. Though to be honest I didn't really notice the apparent effort required to get a strip out until these last few months - I'm not sure for how long DCS has been tiring. Still, despite being sad at the end of the webcomic which has certainly influenced me more than any other, It's happier this way than for an artist to keep forcing themselves to do something they no longer have the same passion for - and it shows.

Do you think that should happen? Just curious =P

Sure. They get along great together, have never really had an argument, and just seem perfect polar opposites for each other. Each compliments the other's nature perfectly.

TyVulpine: That's certainly true. Due to the relationship between Mrs. Mudd and Llewellyn however, anyhing between Ozy and Millie is going to feel very much like sibling incest =P

.. should still happen, though.

Not really. They would be stepbrother/stepsister, but since they aren't related by blood, (only their parents' marriage, should it happen that is) there really isn't anything wrong with it.
