There's nothing technically wrong with it, but it's still really weird.

I'm biased, though, since I never liked the idea of Ozy and Millie being a couple.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

At the end of Dave Barry's Big Trouble, the teen couple dates a few times, but because the boy's dad and the girl's mom just got married, it's awkward. They then become just friends -- which is good news in the parents' eyes.

Well, here's to hoping that D.C. finds out what he wants to do and does it well.

I can just imagine Millie as a complete tease when she hits puberty.
Get out of my mind, idea! I already have an idea in there!

since they aren't related by blood [...] there really isn't anything wrong with it.
Yeah. I said it would feel like incest, rather than that it actually would be.

They are undeniably good with each other and compatible, yet somehow marriage would seem strange. On the other hand, if one of them were to start dating and spending time with someone else, their relationship wouldn't stay quite the same as it is now - of course it's natural that it wouldn't, but I quite like things the way they are.

This strip has been a part of my life for years. If I'm going to post, it's going to be once, and it's going to be this one...

Good bye, Ozy and Millie. I'll miss ya, and hope we see ya again someday.

NO! I don't want to live in a world without Ozy and millie! Sorry about that, this has got me really down, I'm calm... This is unbelievable, one of my favorite things in the world is ending. If I where an emotional person, this would make me cry. I hope I can be as calm about it as you guys in time. I love this strip but if DCS can't do it anymore I guess this is inevitable. Ozy and Millie is an irreplaceable comic. At least their may still be some new updates.

Thank you very much DCS.
I'm not going to pick up on your sarcasm...

I am saddened greatly too, just not much I can do about it other than buy all of the books and some merchandise to keep it forever.

I for one would love to see them as a couple. I was also LOVE to see another ten years out of this comic (I might just be spoiled by other ones though)

So yeah, I don't want to see an end to the random! I enjoy this Calvinistic (Meaning Calvin (& hobbes) like) social commentary.

Was it so very long ago
the time we first by chance should meet?
in that moment, who could know
the end would be so bittersweet?

The memories of you and me
how could I choose not to recall?
you've made me part of who I'll be
there is no going back at all

Such seems the rule, when one does give
without reserve, their heart away.
and for the journey, we must live
why do all good things end this way?

long time no see.

I think that this decision may, if anything, be a little overdue. The quality of the comic (in both art and story-telling, at least in my opinion) has been gradually tapering off since about 2003/04. That is not to say that it is bad but rather than it isn't what it was in 2000-2003.

Fare-de-well.

I never liked the idea of Ozy and Millie being a couple.
me neither, putting an extremely calm person with an extremely unstable one! It's like putting the guy who does the "dry-eye" comercials next to conan O' Brian, just think of the carnage!
Babies have big heads and big eyes, and tiny little bodies with tiny little arms and legs. So did the aliens at Roswell! I rest my case.
