Not really complicated, so much as it is lengthy. I mean, we've got letters and punctuation marks, all they have are ones and zeroes.

Yeah, that's kind of what I meant. It's lengthy. so many digits for a single character...
So compress it down 4:1, then you can deal with hex.

Heck, if you really want, compress it down 8:1 for any ASCII-compatible character encoding you like.

Ya, you can but it does not scare people as much as a long binary code. :)
