That last post reminded me of this song

Friendship is rare,
Do you know what I'm sayin' to you?
Friendship is rare.
My derriere,
When you find out much later
That they don't really care.
It's rare to me, can't you see?
It's rare to me, can't you see?

Oh shit there's a bear,
Could you hand me that shotgun buddy,
Also that chair?
We're fighting a bear
Now your life's in grave danger
And you don't even care.
It's rare to me, can't you see?
It's rare to me, can't you see?
It's rare to me,
Say a prayer for me,
'Cause it's rare to be
In Tenacious D.

Friends will be friends
They're running naked in the sand,
Friends holding hands
Will someday surely form a band,
Friends will be friends
They say that friends are friends
To the bitter end.
Long-as-there's-a-record-deal-we'll-always-be-friends!
Long-as-there's-a-record-deal-we'll-always-be-friends!

Friends will be friends
They're running naked in the sand,
Friends holding hands
Will someday surely form a band,
Friends will be friends
They say that friends are friends
To the bitter end.
Long-as-there's-a-record-deal-we'll-always-be-friends!
Long as there's a record deal we'll always be friends, yeah

"Yes, yes I'll admit I tuned you out but in my defense its because I've already figured out you're stupid." Dr. Rodney McKay Stargate: Atlantis

"Did you say mattress?,...I did ask you not to. Now I have to get into the fish tank and sing."

Have you not seen my Japanese Appreciation thread D:
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Usually when I go on my O&M binges where I read about 2 or 3 years worth of strips at a time, I'll put on my Beatles mix -- including The White Album, Abbey Road, Revolver, The Beatles 1, and more.

So... yeah... Ozy and Millie reminds of the Beatles... and occasionally that surf song.

...BA NA NA NANANA NA NANA NA NA NANANA NA NA - BA NA NA NANANA NA NA NA NA NA NANANA NA NA...

Would that be "Wipe Out" by any chance?

*DING DING DING!* Yes, and as a little side note, you'll never find a song that's more fun to play on the guitar. =)

Had to play it on a trumpet. "Tequila" is more fun on a trumpet. I don't play much guitar. Great. Now I'm feeling nostalgic, but I don't know what for. I MISS BEING YOUNG! Immortality is a pain. I haven't aged in years, but I still miss being a kid. Or should I say "kit" instead?

Now that I think about it, Millie might like "Tequila" because she'd get to shout during the song, plus the whistle would be great fun.

"Fox in the snow" always makes me think of a mid-twenties Ozy killing himself and Millie getting the phonecall telling her that the friend she lost touch with when they went to different colleges is dead.

Ho hum.

fox in the snow
where do you go to find something you could eat
'cause the word out on the street is you are starving
don't let yourself go hungry now
don't let yourself grow cold
fox in the snow

girl in the snow
where do you go to find someone who will do
to tell someone all the truth before it kills you
and listen to your crazy laugh
before you hang a right
and disappear from sight
what do they know anyway
you'll read it in a book
what do they know anyway
you'll read it in a book tonight

boy on the bike
what are you like as you cycle 'round the town
you're going up, you're going down, you're going nowhere
it's not as if they're paying you
it's not as if it's fun
at least not anymore
when your legs are black and blue
it's time to take a break
when your legs are black and blue
time to take a holiday

kid in the snow
way to go
it only happens once a year
it only happens once a lifetime, make the most of it
second just to being born
second to dying too
what else would you do
fox in the snow

lal.

Avril Lavigne's "Complicated" always makes me think of Avery. Because it's about someone who tries to pretend he's cooler than he is when he's around "the cool people."

"I like you the way you are
When we're drivin' in your car
and you're talking to me one on one
But you've become
Somebody else
'Round everyone else
You're watching your back
Like you can't relax
"You're tryin' to be cool
You look like a fool to me"

The logic behind the entire comic makes me think of "Do the Evolution" By Pearl Jam.
