For whatever reason I got the following email:

Quote:

Oh my, we regret to inform you that there has been a problem fulfilling your order. You will receive a full or partial refund of your order, depending on how much of the order we can fulfill.

If you have any questions please go to your "my lulu" tab, select the order history link, select the "receive status" link, and send your request to our order fulfillment team.

When I check my order status, the cost of the book has indeed been refunded, with a cryptic message below it saying:

"Refund Message: see notes -jlp"

I searched every virtual square millimeter of the site, but can;t find any "notes" anywhere. Also, searching for "ozy and millie" no longer yields any results...

EDIT: "This author does not have any published content"

Something seems wrong here.

I do not know what the bloody hell is going on. My own orders of books, in preparation for Further Confusion a little over a week from now, seem also to have been cancelled, probably costing me hundreds of dollars in lost sales. I'm confused and angry. I don't know why Lulu spontaneously unpublished my books.

I'm trying to find out.

Bloody hell. Does the universe just not want me to have published books? It was going perfectly...the books look beautiful...and now...I just have absolutely NO idea what's going on.

Oddly enough, I haven't gotten an email yet, though my order is listed as "REFUNDED". Somehow, I have the nasty feeling that I'm going to have to bug them about owing up to that refund.

This is not good customer service, folks.

EDIT: I really need to preview my posts, first. >_<

Well that's . . . bizarre, to put it lightly. 'Though it would have been nice if they'd hadn't dissapeared in the first place, because now everyone has to re-place their orders, it would seem. And I'm cautious to place another order until I know it won't spontaneously get cancelled as well.

I was wondering what the "There is a problem with your order" message meant since no one there could explain it to me. Guess it's a bit of waiting then, which, as long as we can get the books, is no big problem.

I see I'm not the only one to receive the "Oh my" email. How annoying. Let's hope it's resolved quickly.
That's kind of where the current evidence is pointing, for me.

All I can say is that I both didn't get an e-mail and according to the Lulu site my order is in the Fulfilling status. Not sure if that helps isolate the problem.

On January tenth.

Specifically the receipt is dated Date: Jan 10, 2006 6:48 AM. I'm in GMT, but I'm not sure if gmail knows that when giving the date/time of an e-mail. However, I think I ordered it early morning, so 6:48 AM does sound about right for the time in my time zone.
