Cheese, huh? Let's see here ... cheese ... cheese ...

Ok, I'm back. Sorry it took so long, but I had to look up the cheese strip in O&M and go to the same date in Yahoo Groups.

This is from "Kufat" on the Yahoo Group, from 9 june 2003:

Quote:

This drawing was a sort of commission for me. My best friend, a fun person
of the female type, introduced me to Ozy and Millie, and is practically a
carbon copy of what I'd picture Millie like as a teenager. "I like cheese"
is one of her catch-phrases, simply because she's fond of...well, cheeses.
As I said, picture an older Millie. (Maybe a drop more mature...maybe. But
as chipper, fun-loving, and creative as Millie.)

I wanted to get her something special for her birthday, still a few months
off. When David Simpson posted a mention of the Dylan concert he had
recently attended, I consulted people I knew on the availability of a
recording of said show, and was informed that it would be available to me in
the near future. (It took longer than expected.)

So, I offered David that show, along with other stuff by the bands mentioned
in exchanged for the drawing of Millie saying my friend's favorite phrase.
David liked the offer and the interesting nature of the request, so he did
the drawing. My friend loved it, and she and I are now a couple. (I don't
think it's ENTIRELY because of the present, but she did love it.)

Still mostly here.

This is only slightly off topic, but hey, it's still cheese.

I'm almost done reading the Fuzzy Things archive, and found out Millie's not alone in the cheese fandom.

Blue Cranberry seems almost as much a random variable in her respective comic as Millie. I think the two would get along nicely and be quite unnerving to those around them. Plus I gotta have a respect for anyone that would happily sing Animaniacs songs aloud.
In some ways.. although the coincidences are notable.. In the last story alone Blue exhibits a lot of Millie-like behavior, such as wearing overalls, singing and saying stuff that confuses others, shows her preference for cheese, is manipulative and cunning, and does the water hose gag... She's almost like a blue Millie with the ability to fly.

pants jesus
DCS should've ended the comic a year or two ago.
... my old starcraft battle cry...

"Tus Padre bilan en el bano con queso! "

i don't know how to get the variouse accents, but the message is simple to understand. This was back when i was, oh... 15 to 16 years of age, when starcraft was big!
If you've done things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all.
